We offer step by step instructions to put together all of our domes which are very easy to follow and with the help of a few friends the dome will take shape in a matter of hours. However, if required we do offer on site support with associated travel costs and day rates which you can enquire about upon placing your order.
All of our domes 8M (26’) and below are easily assembled requiring basic tools, a couple ladders and some helpful friends. Any larger domes may require you to seek additional support for construction.
All individual pieces of the domes can be purchased separately including the covers. Please contact for any questions regarding additional hardware or covers.
We recommend starting dome construction from the bottom and working your way to the top ring by ring as per the directions. You want to keep most of your connections hand tight allowing the dome to remain moveable as you build your way up. Once you reach the top you can begin to tighten the connections all the way down. As you make a connection we recommend highlighting the installed tubing on the instruction diagram so you prevent any confusion on which connection to make next.
Each piece of tubing is measured, constructed, and stamped with a number as well as a hole in each end for a specific location on the dome. Each connection will have a washer placed on each side with a bolt running through which is secured by a nut screwed on the opposite end.
Yes, normally customers run utilities up through the floor of the dome or through any walls they have constructed within the dome.
The dome is exactly that, a dome. The inside of the dome is open to whatever vision you decide to create.
With every dome there are “feet” included for the bottom “nodes” or connections. These feet have pre drilled holes to attach to whatever base you choose.
Our dome structures are not the same as a conventional home and will not have the same specs. We can provide structural analysis for each of our domes which will meet your country or locations requirements for wind and snow load. Better Yet! We have an engineer on staff that is qualified in various provinces and countries through North America who can also provide the required stamp to place your units wherever you like.
We offer the strongest base level framework on the market. All domes 9m and under are built with galvanized steel pipework measuring 2mm x 32mm and all domes 10m and up are built with pipework 2.5mm x 42mm. All domes have a downloadable engineering study located on their corresponding page identifying the wind and snow loads they are acceptable for. If you need additional strength upgraded framework is available.
Yes. All Luna Geodesic domes come with a 2 year warranty on the cover and a 5 year warranty on the framework.
Yes, all warranties are void if the dome is not unpackaged and inspected within 90 days of delivery.
Luna Glamping’s geodesic domes are already the industry leader for strength, load capacity and durability without the framework upgrade. In 99% of cases the standard framework option will work for you. The framework upgrade is reserved for areas of extreme winds and heavy snow loads where the dome may be left unattended for some time. Additionally, if you are looking to hang swings or chairs from the dome the upgraded framework may be the option for you.

The standard 850gsm PVC tear-resistant cover comes in white, sandy beige, and military green. The panoramic window is a slightly heavier weight 950gsm for improved durability. It is also completely removable to allow fresh air flow or for easy replacement if it becomes damaged or worn.
For harsher environments, improved strength, durability and a longer life we have the 1100gsm PVDF cover upgrade available in white. This cover will last on average 5 years longer and provides increased efficiency managing the temperature within the dome.

Stay cozy year-round with our fire, mold, and mildew-resistant insulation. Available in a 1-layer or 4 layer option with two standard colors. Our 1- layer insulation is to ensure those in milder climates or operating seasonally can still enjoy the beautiful canvas liner inside the dome with moderate climate control. The 4-
layer insulation is for those more extreme temperatures hot & cold that requires a little more help maintaining the temperature inside the dome.
Our insulation is made in sections, not one large piece or a number of very small pieces like others. The reasoning is if you have a rip, tear, stain or need to replace your insulation for any reason you can provide us with the letter and number on the back of the panel and we can send it to you immediately. This makes replacement faster and more economical. Additionally, our insulation panels are attached to each other with a hidden Velcro backing then to the dome by eyelets slipped over the structural bolts. This way the entire dome is encapsulated with no egress points to lose efficiency.

Our easy-to-install curtain kit, designed for your geodesic dome, covers the entire height and width of the viewing window. It includes a top and middle curtain track for straightforward installation, giving you full control over privacy and ambience. The middle track ensures the curtain is held close to the curvature of the dome so you are not losing valuable square footage as the dome takes its shape.

This is one of our finest upgrades. Replacing the PVC panoramic window with double pane pvb tempered glass that is set into a custom aluminum framework. The glass upgrade ensures longevity of a crystal clear view, increases the efficiency of the dome in maintaining temperature and looks bad a**.

Looking for that extra airflow? Add a few windows. The triangular roll up window comes with a removable screen that is held in place with Velcro. The window is built into the PVC cover and requires you to be on the outside of the dome to operate. The window sits perfectly between the framework triangle V of the dome and is best suited for row two.

Create a 360 degree view by adding some circular glass windows. Featuring a ram to hold it open, a screen to keep the bugs out and a quarter-turn latch to secure it at night. Measuring 406mm (16”) in diameter and positioned in row two, typically five feet from the ground, this window allows an unobstructed view at all times.

Increase the WOW factor with a glass skylight that lets natural light pour into your dome during the day and makes stargazing effortless at night. The skylight is comprised of double paned pvb tempered glass that is set into the frame of the dome. Want to block that early morning sun? Pair with a motorized blind and sleep in.

Skylights are wonderful until the sunrise captures your eyes. Block out the sun and beat the heat with our motorized skylight blind. The blind comes with a remote control and wires into 110V power. It hangs from the dome’s frame by four wires for easy levelling, letting you stay comfortably in bed without interruption. Available in three colours.

All of our domes come with a standard steel door frame to fit a 34”x82” door. You can either supply your own door or add one of ours. Our glass door comes with an aluminum casing surrounding 5+12A+5 frosted glass. The WPC composite wood door offers increased durability and efficiency recommended for extreme temperatures. It comes in three wood colours: light oak, dark walnut, or grey with a small central window.

Place the moisture barrier under the floor of your dome to keep it dry and prevent any draft. This protective layer stops condensation from coming through the floor and provides a durable cupping effect. The barrier is made of the same 850gsm PVC as the cover and has eyelets around the exterior edge that will hook onto the framework bolts of the domes footing.
